I just finished up a feature profile on my good friend Tommy Ellingson for the ESPN Freeskiing blog.

This was one of the more challenging pieces that I’ve ever written, and I spent a lot of time dwelling on each sentence and paragraph. Writing a profile on someone is a big responsibility; it’s your job to represent this person to the world, and whatever you write, for better or for worse, will become a part of that person’s legacy. For my part, I figured that if I could represent about one quarter of the awesomeness of Tommy E, I’d be off to a good start.
