Flippin’ the Script in Slovenia

  • March 6, 2014

After the craziness of the Olympics in Sochi I thought it would be great to do a fun photo trip somewhere in Europe. My friend Kevin Perron of Treefort Lifestyles mentioned to me that he would be heading to Slovenia with Ahmet Dadali for his “Flip The Script” project, and their travel dates happened to line up perfectly with mine. Their crew was willing to bring me on board, so a few days after getting back to Munich from Sochi I jumped on a bus for Ljubjana.

For the past week or so we’ve been hitting up some urban features up in northwestern Slovenia, close to the Austrian and Italian borders, and also dipping over to the Italian side where the snow is deeper. We’ve also been chomping down kebabs and too much burek (a meat- or vegetable-stuffed pastry that’s a local specialty), breaking ribs on basketball hoops, nursing sprained ankles, and enjoying the hospitality of our wonderful hosts Agnon and Sara.

Here are a few shots from the trip so far.

Agi is okay, sometimes he just likes to lay motionless for a minute after a crash and let all of his extremities report back to central control
